Workers’ compensation 101 for churches and nonprofit organizations

A Free Webinar on Workers Compensation Insurance For Churches and Nonprofit Organizations

Faith-based organizations are unique, but are still workplaces subject to EMPLOYMENT law.

Chances are, nonprofit and faith-based organizations are not fully informed about workers’ compensation insurance. But they need to be. By law, nonprofits and houses of worship are considered workplaces. That means they must comply with workers’ compensation mandates. There is no opt-out provision for religious organizations, and compliance is mandatory in all 50 states. In addition, workers’ compensation is not only for full-fledged employees. Contract workers and even non-compensated pastors must be covered by workers’ comp.
