California Law (CA SB 1343) requires any organization with five or employees (law was previously 50 or more) to provide interactive sexual harassment prevention training (online or classroom), within six months of working in the job.
Current employees have until January 2021 to become certified, in order to be compliant with this law.
Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
Employee / Nonsupervisor
Manager / Supervisor
Nonsupervisory Employees (hourly, salary, temporary, etc.) must complete 1 hour of certified training
Temporary / Seasonal employees must be trained within 30 calendar days OR before they work 100 hours (whichever occurs sooner)
Newly hired employees must be trained within 6 months of their start date
Management / Supervisory Employees (anyone with authority to hire, fire, assign, transfer, discipline, or reward other employees) must complete 2 hours of certified training
Newly hired managers must be trained within 6 months of their start dates
ALL employees must be
retrained once every two years.
At this time all MP Sponsored training dates have passed.
