Summer camps and retreats are an important part of the work of faith-based organizations. These facilities almost universally require proof of insurance (a certificate). This certificate is provided by your insurance company after it reviews the request.

Why does it take 10 days (or more)?

Insurers review the activities that will take place at the camp or retreat (horseback riding, swimming, zip lines, etc.) and may charge an extra premium or exclude some activities from coverage altogether. This review takes time and may result in additional questions about your event.

As your broker, we submit your requests, but the insurer ultimately makes the determination about coverage on its own timeline. The more notice you can provide, the more likely you are to get an answer before your event.
